Q. How do I know if I am going to like it? A. We know it can be daunting to come to a place you don’t know with a group of people you don’t know. Especially if you have not been on a retreat before. We are all very experienced at creating ground and safe space for you to be able to relax, and focus on what matters most to you. We will develop a sense of strong community, empathy and support for each other’s work during the week. You are always at choice on the retreat about what you do and how you do it. We think you will love it!
Q. How many people will be on the retreat? A. We expect there to be between 14-20 people on the retreat. The maximum size group will be 20 women.
Q. What language is the retreat in? A. The retreat is only offered in English. We hope in the future to offer our retreats in Spanish and English.
Q. Do I need to have something specific to work with? A. No, you don’t. When you register we organise a 20 minute pre-retreat consultation chat with you, to see what your intentions are for the retreat and to get to know you a bit. We recommend having an intention and it’s okay to change it; and if your intention is to relax and see what happens that’s fine too.
Q. Will we be disconnected from everything? Is there Wi-Fi? A. If you want to be disconnected you can be. Our host Costa Rica Yoga Spa is away from everything, on the sunset side of a hill overlooking the ocean. The venue has Wi-Fi for those who want it, and a shuttle to the beach / town every day. Both the Wi-Fi and the Shuttle are included in the price.
Q. What is the retreat programme? A.Each Retreat Day has a mix of group sessions, space for personal reflection, free time, individual coaching, and specific sessions focused on:
Your vision, purpose, needs
Somatic practices – standing, moving, in partners, in groups
Our connection with nature
Free creative expression
A day on this retreat flows like this.

While we have a detailed retreat programme we do not share it in advance as we like to adapt it based on our reading of the group and individual needs. We will start around 6am each day finishing dinner around 8pm.
Q. How much free time will I have? A. On most days there will be a 2 hour period where LeeAnn and Lise will hold individual coaching sessions. If you are not scheduled for a coaching session you have free time to read, reflect, go to the beach, have a surf (lesson)..etc.
Q. How do I get there? A. You can fly internationally into Liberia or San Jose airports. From Liberia you can book a shuttle directly to the venue. It is a 2-3 hour drive. We recommended Terratour: terratournosara.com
From San Jose you can take an internal flight with Fly Sansa to Nosara airport. You can book your tickets online here: booknow.flysansa.com. From Nosara airport, it is a 10-15 minute drive to Costa Rica Yoga Spa. You can take a tuktuk or you can book a taxi with terratournosara.com. Q. Is Costa Rica safe for a lone female traveller? A. Costa Rica is one of the safest places to travel in Latin America. You can always choose between taking a local bus or a tourist shuttle for most journeys The tourist shuttle is faster, more reliable and more expensive. To get to our retreat in Nosara, we recommend flying into Liberia or San Jose and booking a shuttle with http://terratournosara.com. And we recommend getting travel insurance.
Q. Can I arrive early or leave later? A. Please make your travel plans so you arrive in the afternoon between 2-6pm when the retreat starts and leave by 11am the day the retreat finishes, unless you are staying on for the sacred medicine ceremony on Saturday night. If your flight schedule doesn’t allow this, please get in touch with us to discuss best options.
